"My wife and I first came to Skomer on holiday in 1991 and we fell in love instantly with the quality of the house and the location at Solva. We always attend off-season usually May/June and September to enjoy the peace and tranquility when everywhere is "open" but not overrun. The house is well decorated and equipped to a high standard . Located on the edge of Solva, we can walk to the coast path and village post office/mini market while it is only a short distance from the harbour, beach and St David's Airfield with the larks in the spring. The Pembrokeshire Coastal Park is one of UK's best kept secret areas with miles of golden beaches. glorious walking, great eating and drinking houses and plenty for families with children. Thankfully, the area has avoided heavy commercialisation and retains its unspoilt heritage. To sum up it is our kind of place, we have had over twenty super holidays there already and have just booked two separate weeks in 2011. Go for it!"
"Thanks for a wonderful stay. The house was extremely comfortable and well stocked with everything a family could need for a week away. We loved the walks and beaches you recommended and will most definitely be coming back next year. "
"Our family had a great time at Skomer. It felt like a home from home. Facilities were excellent, but had that obvious personal touch that meant it felt like we were valued guests rather than simply paying customers. The kids loved playing with the myriad family games on tap, we loved cooking and eating in the excellent kitchen. Local facilities were plentiful, within reach and convenient. The scenery was beautiful. It was a truly restful experience - just what you want from a holiday. Tons of things to do and places to see are within easy driving range. The best compliment we can pay is that, despite a couple of days of unsettled weather, our kids didn't notice a jot and we all had one of the best holidays we could wish for. We would heartily and unreservedly recommend it."
"Stayed in October – the cottage is welcoming and warm. All amenities are great TV, dvd, large comfortable lounge, for evenings spent in. Plenty of useful information on local activities and sites to visit.Easy access to beautiful coastline walks, and nearby St Davids – worth a visit. All in all, a great place to stay, would definitely recommend, and want to make time to come again."
